- CD/DVD Ripping for BACKUP PURPOSES ONLY, including transfers to your own personal MPEG player device/hard drive, falls into this category as well, with an additional charge of $1.50 per disc (0-75 discs)/$0.75 per disc (76-150 discs)/$0.40 per disc (151+ discs).
- Photographic scanning and related services also fall into this category, with an additional charge of $0.40 per photo or negative scanned.
- Ebay selling/buying services also fall into this category; customer pays all respective Ebay fees associated with the item listing, plus an additional fee per item equal to 15% of the final sale price. Please contact me for more details.
· Advanced Virus and Malware Removal $50 per hour
Most modern virus and malware infections require the use of a wide array of scanning and removal tools to ensure proper
removal and disinfection. For particularly nasty infections, it is not uncommon for me to log at least two hours in billing time
and over 50 hours in scanning time. Please be advised that, depending on the degree of infection, I may need to have your system for
at least 4 days, if not longer, in order to perform a thorough cleaning.
**BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS** taking your computer to any shop or store
that promises a complete disinfection in one day or less, as in recent years this has become increasingly IMPOSSIBLE to ensure. Many
of the malware-ridden computers I recieve have already been "cleaned" by other local shops that blindly promised a quick fix. These days, there are
no quick fixes, only complete fixes or incomplete fixes. The only quick AND complete fix is usually to start over (see PC Backup, Reformat, OS Reinstall, File Restore).
· PC Backup, Reformat, OS Reinstall, File Restore $80 flat fee per standard system restored*
Over the past few years, it's become increasingly common for systems to be delivered into my hands in a virtually unusable state. Whether this has been caused by viruses and malware or small children, it is sometimes quicker and more cost-effective to
skip repair and perform a complete system restoration. Given the nature of today's malware infections, this course
can also save you the worry of having the problem unexpectedly resurface again at a later date. If you opt for a system restoration,
when you get your PC back, your "stuff" will be there, but the problems that were slowing your computer down will be completely obliterated. I recommend this option especially
in emergency situations where a computer is infected but is needed for use within a day's time or less.
· Systems Design, Build, and On-Site Installation
$200 flat fee per standard system delivered*
Systems design is the heart of my business. Over my 13 years of system-building experience, I have learned what brands are trustworthy, and my long-standing policy is to only select components based on what I would use, as opposed to how much they cost. In such a competitive market, I can usually match the price of a comparable "production-line" PC and still guarantee that it will be cleaner, faster, and more upgradeable. However, even if it means losing business, I refuse to build a system using cheaper components that do not provide the performance or quality needed to make my offerings competitive. If you're looking for "cheap" computers, please look elsewhere! If you're looking for tailor-made, custom computers,
look no further!
· Graphic Design, Photo Editing
$15 per hour + $60 per design upon satisfaction (if applicable)
Graphic design is more of a hobby than primary work for me, so I choose to charge upon satisfaction. I am willing to provide logo design, graphic editing, photo editing, web page layout/graphic design, and artwork for items such as business cards, CDs, post cards, mouse pads, and calendars. These kinds of projects are usually very time intensive and require interaction with my customers. Customers who choose to work with me should expect a design job to take at least two weeks. Additional licensing fees will be involved if my customer desires the use of personal art photos, or any other stock photos.

*My professional definition of a standard system is a Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 based PC that consists of no larger than a mid-tower sized
chassis containing no more than four stationary hard disk drives. Computers over six years old, server-class computers, and
computers with special storage arrays are not to be considered standard systems. Due to the amount of time involved in servicing
these types of systems, I must determine the labor rate on a case by case basis.
